Legal Question in Consumer Law in Utah
Car dealer 3 weeks late with car registration
I recently bought a car and had to wait 3 weeks after my temporary license expired to get my license plate.Since they took so long to process the papers, the bank withheld the first payment from the proceeds.I was told by the manager that he thought it was fair that I didn't have to make the first payment, but was later served with a small claims court suit from the owner.I was never contacted or asked about the payment at all.Should I fight this in small claims?I can't find (or understand) the law regarding this issue.
