Legal Question in Consumer Law in Utah
Car repair troubles
I recently brought my vehicle into a shop for a problem with the heater going hot and cold and the temp gauge going from hot to cool. I was told it was a head gasket and I gave the OK for the repairs. I was told 2 1/2 weeks later that the engine would need to be replaced. I denied any further work and was charged $1600.00 before I could get my car towed to a different shop. I brought my car running and picked it up not only not running but with engine parts everywhere. I had to pay the 1600.00 to get my car away from them but want to sue to get my money back. Do I have a case?

Re: Car repair troubles
You may have a case. You should get more information from a good mechanic based on your car's condition. I suggest you file suit in small claims court.
