Legal Question in Consumer Law in Utah

What constitutes a lemon on washer/dryer still under warrenty?

I have a $2,200.00 stacked washer & dryer (still under full warranty until Jan. 1, 2004. Since July I have had five repairman visits. New control panel, new motor, new tub, and long stretches in between ordering parts only to have that not cure the problem The repairman is at a loss of what to do. The washer screeches, pounds and viberates out of control. It is level.

Please, what rights do I have under the lemon law..is there such a law?

thank you,

There is no lemon law specifically for washer-dryers. However, the Uniform Commercial Credit Code requires that a product be fit for the purpose intended, which your product apparently is not. Contact the seller and also the manufacturer and request a refund or exchange. If they do not satisfy you, sue them both in small claims court.
