Honoring a Contract

If I signed a Contract with a Co. That ends up selling to another Co. Do I have to honor contract signed with old Co. This is an Alarm Co I choose because it was local. It sold and now is out of state.

Probably, most contracts can be assigned by the original holder to a third party. Read the contract carefully. If there is no assignment right, and if the contract was sold to you based on the "local" element and the seller knew you relied on the local element, you may be able to cancel.
