Legal Question in Consumer Law in Utah
Internet Theft
Back in March I sent my iPod to a repair center that advertised on the internet. I paid for the part and repair service and the shipping back. They received it and never sent it back. I put in a complaint to the Utah BBB. I live in California. The company claimed that an employee stole the iPod along with others. They said they would ship me an iPod but never did. Value of iPod, repair & shipping is about $300-$350. They have several complaints like this with the BBB and have used the same excuse of stolen iPods before.
What is my next move? Notify Utah Attny. Gen.? County District Attny.? Is there grounds for a Class Action Suite?
Thank you.
