Collection Agency Rights

I had some bogus charges on a cell phone bill 7 years ago that I thought were cleared up. Now I have a collection agency threatening to slap me with a judgement and I don't have any of my documentation from that long ago. Can they get a judgement and what rights do I have?

You can require the collection agency to provide proof of the debt, including proof of all payments and debits, etc.
