I was issued a complaint for unpaid medical bills Upon answering the complaint if I do not have the amount the complaint is for am I subject to jail time? Also does this mean that I might be able to arrange payments? This was a bill I have avoided due to financial trouble and my poor judgement is catching up with me

No jail time for a civil suit, which this is. You can ask for verification of the bills from the other attorney. Payments may be arranged by agreement with the attorney.
