Cosigner on loan

My son cosigned on a loan for a friend and she has not kept up on payment. My son has filed for Bankrupcy and included this loan on it. Now his friend is taking him to court saying he defaulted on the contract he made with her. Can she do this?

Your son should have included the loan to his friend in his bankruptcy. If not, have your son add the debt to his bankruptcy. Then the suit by the friend will be dismissed.
