Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Utah

credit question ??

I leased a rental vehicle for someone and both the person who was driving the car as well as the person working for the car rental led me to believe this was turned in. THe car was never turned in until I reported the car stolen. Now I am stuck with the bill. If I don't pay this credit card bill what would the consequences be other than a negative score on my credit. Ie would they be able to garnish my wages ect.

Re: credit question ??

If you do not pay the debt you will be sued, then the creditor can garnish your accounts. If you have a good defense to the charges, such as third party fraud you can sue them for your costs, including attorney fees and the cost of the car.
