Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Utah
Judgement showing...no judgement awarded.
I just looked at my credit report and there is a judgement showing that I wasn't even aware of. I was not notified, I attended no court, I don't even know what it is. How can I get it removed?

Re: Judgement showing...no judgement awarded.
You will first need to get a copy of the judgment from the court in which it was issued. Then you will need to file a motion to set it aside. You will need to file an answer to the complaint that started the lawsuit and either settle or try the case. If the judgment is something from a creditor, you might be able to negotiate a partial payment, then the creditor will file a satisfaction of judgment. The credit report will show the judgment as satisfied. You can enter an explanation in your credir report.
