Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Utah

Legal obligation for husband's undisclosed past debt

I got married in August of 2008. My husband and I have no assets together. He was not totally up front about all of his past debt. His exwife is now suing him. Do I need to get an annulment or divorce to protect my assets?

Re: Legal obligation for husband's undisclosed past debt

Not necessarily - just keep all of your accounts and assets separate from his - do not open joint accounts.
