Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Utah

There is an outstanding debt with a retail company that is in my name. At the time of the purchase (furniture) I was married. Since that time my then husband and I filed bankrupt but agreed to pay off the $1000 to this store. Since that time my husband and I divorced. The remaining items were left to him and in my divorce decree it states that he is to pay this store. That was several years ago. The store has never persued my ex. I have paid on the account countless times just wanting them to back off. late fees and interest have made the balance double and they have now turned me over to an attorney for collections. Where do I stand in this.
