My Mom got a divorce more than 10 years ago and in the decree, her ex-husband was ordered to pay off the remainder of the 2nd Mortgage and this week my Mom received a notice of default--what can she do at this point? What will happen if the 2nd mortgage goes into foreclosure? Can she loose her house??

She can file an order to show cause why the ex has not paid the 2nd - and get him held in contempt of court. Unfortunately the house is at risk. Have her call for a free consultation.
