Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Utah

I was recently served court papers over a credit card debt that is at least 8-10 years old. I accrued the debt while in Texas, I currently live in Utah. The company is currenlty out of Delaware, but was out of Maryland when the debt occured. What state do I call about the Statute of Limitations? How do I write my required response to the court and the plainiffs lawyer?

You would have to look at your card holder agreement to see which state's laws were to apply to your contract with the credit card company. I suspect it's going to provide that the laws of either Delaware or Maryland apply, in which event, you would have to contact an attorney there to get proper advice on the statute of limitations.
