I hired a woman/company to do some writing for me but I received very poor quality work from her. I've been trying to collect a $1,450 refund from her for over 6 months now. We put together an I.O.U. note that she says she signed but she has yet to send back. She has acknowledged the debt by e-mail and has been promising to pay (by e-mail) but now she is ignoring my calls and emails. What is my recourse?

Sue her in small claims court.
