Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Utah

When does the Statute of Limitations Run Out?

I filed for bankruptcy last year and my debts were discharged. I did everything possible to include all of my debts but one slipped by. They just sent me a letter demanding $9,000!!! I have not heard anything from them since 1998 and have had no contact either. Am I going to end up paying them?

Re: When does the Statute of Limitations Run Out?

Rather than worrying about the statute of limitations (which can vary based on the bill and when was the last payment on it), I would consult with your bankruptcy attorney and see if your bankruptcy can be reopened and this bill added to it.
