Legal Question in Criminal Law in Utah
i was arrested recently for possession of drug parifinalia in florida. this was a misdemeanor charge the judge sentenced me to 6 months probation, a drug screen with a counceler, and monthly ua's. i was told all of this could be done through the mail as i do not live in Florida. i was told to report to probation in fl. within 24 hour of being released and get it set up to do through the mail. i did not report. i left the state and have no intentions to return to Florida. ever. can i be arrested in the state that i live in for this charge?

Probably. Florida will have entered your name into the National Crime Information Center, which is accessed by virtually every police department in the US. If you are pulled over or arrested and they do a check on you, the Florida information will come up and you will go to jail. Some employers do criminal background checks, which might find this case.
You would be wise to take care of this. It will not be a big deal now, but if you ignore it, this could make your life miserable.
