You will have to get the prosecutor's agreement to do so.

A plea in abeyance is an offer by the prosecutor to dismiss the case if you have not further incidents within a 6-12 month period. If it is offered by the prosecutor. Usually only offered if you have an otherwise clean record. Most courts have a form to be filled in while you are at court.
