Legal Question in Criminal Law in Utah
I lent my iPhone4s to my friend to use it but her host family took it from her. Did her host family break the larceny law?

Where is the host family? Do they plan on returning it? How old are the parties involved?
If it was an adult punishing a child who was in their care and control, doubtful. If these are adults who are stealing from one another than yeah that might be a crime.
