Legal Question in Criminal Law in Utah
I own a local salon that has been discredited by a local school. The owner has told several students and clients that my salon is not properly liscensed and it has created a bad name for my business. Is there something legally that i can do about this situation?

While the conduct is not likely criminal, it appears to be defamatory. If you have witnesses that will testify as to what she said, you could sue for defamation, perhaps even in small claims court where the limits are now $10,000.
