Legal Question in Criminal Law in Utah
If I was to purchase a money order for $750, the cashier hands me 3 $500 money orders, and I cash them have I committed a crime? I know honesty is the best policy. Still just curious.

Duh! The cashier made an innocent mistake. If you cash the MOs you are liable for theft. The law does not allow for one person to get an unfair advantage of another because of an innocent error.
