Legal Question in Criminal Law in Utah
retainer?
can a lawyer run your credit card and charge you a retainer fee if have not agreed to retain him? i did not sign anything and he said he would not run the card until i told him i wanted to retain him, he ran the card and i told him i didnt want to retain him! now he says hes going to charge me $2700 for his time. he went and seen my girlfriend at the jail 3 times and never filed any paperwork or stepped foot in court. what can i do? please help
