What is the statute of limitations on statutory rape in Utah?

It depends on the circumstances of the case and how the criminal charge would be filed. The term "statutory rape" is not actually the name of the crime. It depends on the age of the victim, i.e., younger than 14, between 14 and 16, or between 17 and 18. It also depends on the age difference between the victim and perpetrator. Generally, however, the crimes of rape, rape of a child, object rape of a child, forcible sodomy on a child, sexual abuse of a child, and aggravated sexual abuse of a child have NO statute of limitations and can be charged at any time.
