subpoenas

if the state/courts subpoena a person because they are a witness to a crime(criminal mischief)

and refuses to appear what are the consequences.will they issue a warrant

for there arrest.what exactly can they expect.

Failure to obey a subpoena is a contempt of court. A person can be imprisoned as a result. The

length of imprisonment varies from state to state.
