Legal Question in Criminal Law in Utah
I am currently on unsupervised probation for a 3rd degree felony in Utah. I recently was arrested for possession of heroin (class A misdemeanor) and am about to be sentenced on Monday. I ended up admitting myself to an inpatient rehab and successfully completed 21 days, and now have been in sober living and intensive outpatient treatment for 5 days, with plans to stay for a while. My question is: what is the likelihood I will serve time for the possession and violation of probation? (before rehab my public defender said at least 60-90). Will my successful short time in rehab suffice?

It will be a factor that the judge can consider. It is up to the judge, the circumstances and your history and other factors on what the judge will impose.
