According to Utah law, if a minor had possession of marijuana only once, and turned it over to a police officer of his own accord, would said minor ever be able to become a police officer himself?

According to Utah law, can a minor who had possession of marijuana only once and turned it over to a police officer of his own accord, ever be able to bear fire arms?

I would need more facts to accurately answer your question. By possession, do you mean that you found a joint of marijuana and called the police about it right away or picked it up and took it to the police station? If so, that's called innocent possession and is not a crime.

But, if by marijuana you mean that you had 5 kilos in your car and you told the police about it, that's probably going to be prosecuted as a felony.

Felons cannot possess firearms and therefore cannot become police officers. If you haven't pled to this charge yet, you should retain an attorney to help you.
