My wife and I live in and care for her 87 year old mother with alzheimers. We care for her from Sunday night to Friday afternoon. She goes to her other children homes every second and third weekends. So we basically we care for her during the week and every 3rd weekend on a rotating basis. We understand that if we live and care for her for at least two years that the property she owns becomes the caregivers? Is this still true if she goes and stays with other children on the second and third weekends? the

Because you are caring for her over half of the time, there should be no problem, although I have never seen or heard of a case with similar facts in Utah. The stay with other children on an occasional basis (which this is) should not affect your status as caretaker.
