401K and Divorce

My soon to be Ex husband says that he closed his 401K through his work.

He said I wont be getting 1/2 in the divorce settlement due to him needing to pay off the car.

Can he do this if it has already been listed on the paper work that each is to be awarded 1/2 the 401k. Is this Against the Law for him to do this?

He must pay you the money pursuant to the court order. If he does, take him back to court and get contempt charges filed.
