Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

I have a 2 year old and a bout to be newborn, I was thinking bout relocating to my hometown, for more family support and financial situations. The father of the bout to be tols me that i could not leave state without hos written consent saying that i can do so. We have never been married and we are not together, is this written consent thing true??

No written consent is needed. You should give written notice of your intention and date of moving.

If there is no custody or support order in place you may want to get one, so the father pays you child support.
