Legal Question in Family Law in Utah
possible abandonment
My girlfriends ex-husband still lives in her house until his house is finished. They have three kids together and the arguing is causing lots of problems. She would like to stay at my house in the evenings and be at home for the kids during the day While he is at work. ( the kids are all over the age of fourteen) If she does this could he consider this abandonment?

Re: possible abandonment
Abandonment is failure to contact the children for 6 months or more. Your friend should get a court order requiring the ex to move out. She should not be the one leaving her home.
