Legal Question in Family Law in Utah
adoption
i feel like i was forced into giving my daughter up for adoption by my mother when she was about 5 months old. we did go to an attorney and sign papers but never went through the court system to finalize anything. my mom said that my relationship with my daughter wouldn't change and that everything would be the same. nothing is the same. i've been kicked out and cannot see my daughter. i am living with the birth father but he isn't on the birth certificate. my mom said at a later date it could be reversed. she lied. what can i do to get my daughter back?

Re: adoption
Ask your mother what she expects you to do. My experience suggests that your mother had/has concerns about the lifestyle which you were/are engaged in was not in the best interests of the child. However, if you are living responsibly, not using illegal drugs or associating with users; have a clean and safe place to raise your child; and are otherwise living a good life --- you should be able to get custody of your daughter.
