Adoption after marrige

I recently got married and my new husband wants to adopt my son. I have not heard from his father for years and he is not on the birth certificate. What do we need to do to get the adoption going?

File a petition of abandonment for the birth father, and a petition for a step parent adoption. You may call for a free consultation.
