Legal Question in Family Law in Utah
Alimony
I'm wondering what my options are if my ex stops paying the court-ordered alimony. We were married 23 years and he was ordered to pay 23 years of alimony. The divorce was final June 2001 and he has paid every month, but as of June 2002, he hasn't paid anything. Are there any state agencies that help with this problem or what can I do? I can't make my house payment without the alimony.

Re: Alimony
There are no state agencies which will assist you. You will have to retain the services of an attorney to collect the past due amount, or you will have to collect from him yourself. You are welcome to call for a free consultation. 801-876-4422.
