Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

I am attempting to renew my driver liscense. My mother remarried in 1963 and I assumed the last name of Brown. I have lived as Brown ever since. My birth certificate however has the last name of Hayes and no supporting documents can be found to prove they legally changed the name. Other than going through the process of changing my name in the courts, is there a simpler process?

Basically, the answer is no. However, the process of completing a name change is fairly simple and doesn't take much time.
