Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

Attempts to finalize

I have sent ex two versions of stipulations to get divorce settled. He rejected the first and ignored the second. Do I have to continue to go through his lawyer or him knowing he will ignore or can I just get a court date and get it over with? How many times do I have to submit papers to him? My lawyer says we have to keep going through his lawyer. But we get no response or just a simple no from my ex. No communication from lawyer at all. I don't want to continue to waste time and money if I know he won't respond. He refuses to allow it to be over. It needs over for daughter's emotional health. Please advise. Thanks

Re: Attempts to finalize

If he does not agree, then you must submit your case for mediation. After mediation, if no agreement, you can ask for a trial.
