Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

Bifurcation-Divorce

Divorce filed 7 months ago-no progress. Mediation failed. Looking at bifurcation process. Do I have to wait at least a year of no progress to proceed with bifurcation? Is bifurcation a good choice to proceed? CAn it have a negative impact on child custody?
