Legal Question in Family Law in Utah
We need to know if my boyfriends divorce is legal and how he can have a different custody arrangement set up. His ex-wife did the entire divorce while he was living in NH and she resides in Utah. She has it set up so that he has no parental rights and that when he wants to see her, he has to pay the entire cost. We are trying to change it so that he at least has set visitation. The court has it set so that he can see her for so many hours a week. This is impossible living clear across the country. He has tried calling the courts and has just about given up. This is our last option. When he calls the courts he does not get any help from them at all.

His only recourse is to go back to court and petition the court to change the divorce decree and grant him greater visitation. He may call for a free consultation.
By just calling the courts, you're not going to get any help. The purpose of the courts is not to provide legal services but is instead a branch of government through which people may seek enforcement/protection of their rights. He will need to retain legal counsel to petition the court for a change in the existing order.
