Legal Question in Family Law in Utah
Child Custody
my sister is in jail in California and has full custody of her kids, the kids where with the grandmother (sisters mom) and the dad came and took them with him to Utah. The dad doesnt want to share the kids since he left although we raised the children. My mom has a notorized doc that states she has temp custody, is this enough to have him return the kids to my mom?

Re: Child Custody
If the father still has parental rights, his rights are superior to those of any one else, unless there are reasons why the father should not have custody. If you or your parents want to contest custody they can file for custody in the court in the state where the children have lived for the last 6 months.
