Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

Child last name

My ex-wife has been brainwashing our 4 and 6 year old to think that their last name is her maiden name. (she has changed it back now as we are divorced) She has not tried to change it legally and has my 6 year old writing her last name in school and has him convinced that her last name is the correct name. Is there anything I can do to sop this? I think it's emotionally damaging for her to do that to confuse our children like that.

You can get a court order prohibiting this, you can also talk to the school (provide a copy of the birth certificate), you can try to get a order - or your ex to agree to high conflict parenting resolution. You can seek help through a third party such as family members.
