Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

Child Support

Married 15 yrs, divorced for 3, we have two children (older), She has full custody. Because of the divorce my daughter has been having a hard time. My ex decided to put my daughter in a very expensive rehab/school/living facility in GA. She did not ask my opinion or let me offer other choices (like having her live with me). However she took a 15 year loan out to help pay for the school, I find out about it by her emailing me a copy of her loan and payment due, where she is demaning that I pay half. Do I have any legal recourse? I love my daughter, but even my older son, said the only reason she sent her was because her boyfriend has been trying to figure out how to get her out of the house for a long time, and he suggested and pushed for it. I doubt this was medically authorized by a dr. saying this was the only option. Maybe something else would help, or maybe having her dad in her life would help. Not all options were explored and I am being used as a pocket book and I don't have that kind of money. Any help woud be appreciated.

Re: Child Support

You are not obligated to pay for this without her getting a court order. You may have the right to seek custody. You should first talk to your daughter's medical and counseling staff. Also talk to the school in Ga.
