Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

Child visitation

If the custodial parent moves...Is there a reasonable distance that the non-custodial must drive before it is required that the custodial parent must provided transportation 1/2 way. In this situation..the custodial parent lives 55+ miles one direction. Equally 110+ round trip for pick up and another 110+ miles return. I think this is extremely excessive for a weekend visit unless the custodial parent can be required to meet 1/2 way.

Re: Child visitation

You can file an order to show cause why the change should not be made, or a petition to modify the decree, if your ex is not willing to cooperate. Check the language of the divorce decree to see what would need to be changed.
