Legal Question in Family Law in Utah
Had a child out of wedlock 12 years ago and remarried 3 years ago and moved from Utah to another state. After I married my current husband I filed for child support from the bio father. He has been in and out of jail for various charges over the past 12 years. Currently he is out. He threatens me that if I move more than 150 miles from him , he will file for custody or make me pay for his visitation. What is the law when no court order exist in utah.

He would have to first file a paternity action to even establish what the custody and visitation rights are to begin with. Based on what you've described, I wouldn't worry at all about his threats.
