Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

My childs fathers rights

I just need to know what rights he has. He is not on the birth certificate nor ha he had any interest in her until a couple months ago. She does have his last name but that is only because i was nice and gave it to her. I would really like to know what his rights are exactly concerning our daughter

Depending on how involved he is in your child's life, it's possible for him to obtain joint legal custody which would require both of you to cooperate in making major parenting decisions together. He, of course, has an obligation to pay child support and share in the payment of medical insurance premiums, out of pocket medical expenses, and work related child care costs which you incur.
