childs mother suing me

IPay child support and health care for my child. He got into some trouble with some friends and lawyer fees are now involved his mother picked the lawyer and now wants to sue me for half of the fees. She does not let me have any say so in his life and makes poor judgments that got him in this mess. Am I obligated to pay this? I agree to pay half of the rehab and that will tap me dry.

You are only required to pay for those things outlined in the applicable court orders. If the mother is so incompetent, perhaps you should force her to allow you more of a role in the life of the child. You do this through mediation, or if unsuccessful through a court order.
