Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

chilod visitation

my children (ages 11, 15, 17) refuse to go to the visitation with their father. Their father claims I am breaking the law by not forcing them to go. What can I do?

Re: chilod visitation

You are required to make the children available for the father. You may want to find out the actual reasons - and I suggest you use a counselor for the children - to see if there are sufficient issues to justify their discomfort. The counselor may want the father involved as well.

It is healthy for children to have a good relationship with their father. The problems should be addressed and resolved for the mental health of the children.
