common law marriage

I have been engaged and living with my partner for 6 years. I left him because he cheated on me and now I need to know my rights.

Re: common law marriage

If you held yourselves out as husband and wife you may have a common law marriage. You are entitled at a minimum to all of your property and one half of the equity in any property which you both purchased and paid for together.
