Legal Question in Family Law in Utah
No contact order and person comes to the door?
My son's girlfriend called the cops and filed assault & battery charges. Son was told there is a no contact order. His girlfriend showed up at his home and knocked on the door looking for her sister. Luckily I answered the door. What if son would have? I think she had a lot of guts coming to his home when she knows there is a no contact order. What can son do to protect himself? He wants to be done with her! She filed these allegations falsely. Should he report that she showed up at his apt?

Re: No contact order and person comes to the door?
If girlfriend approaches son at son's residence, the son is not guilty of violation of the protective order. He does not need to report it, but should keep a record of her contacts.
