Legal Question in Family Law in Utah
I am contesting an adoption and birthmother filed false affidavit
I just got a document from the lawyer of the adoption agency that i am currently in the process of getting custody of my children and the birthmother my ex has filed a false affidavit. The WHOLE document is nothing but false statements about me...that i forced her to have sex and tried to kill her, beat her up, and that my son was born out of rape and NUMEROUS other ridiculus and outrageous claims...let me tell you i almost fainted! Some of the stuff in the document i can prove she is lying but why would her opinion now that she has already relinquished her rights 2 months ago have any relevance. She is very vindictive and i can not believe it has come to this. How can i further prove that she has lied under a sworn affidavit? What should i do? Any advice would be very much apprieciated. thanks .

You should have filed a paternity case to determine you paternity rights. You will have to produce such evidence you can, including character witnesses. Your ex will have to do more than make bare allegations, there will have to be some sort of supporting evidence.
