Court observation
3 Questions,
1: I am a paralegal student and would like to take a visit to my local courthouse. Can I sit in on any domestic relations case that is in progress and quietly observe?
2: Are there any types of these cases taking place on Saturdays? Do I need anyones permission?
3: I live in Midvale UT. Where would be a good courthouse to visit?

Re: Court observation
You are welcome to visit virtually all court actions. Very rarely are they closed to the public. Court is not held on weekends. The closest court to you is the Third District Court in Sandy on about 10000 So. But it is not always busy. The main court is at 450 So Main in SLC, and there is almost always something going on there. You can call a court clerk who can give you the time and place for various actions.
