Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

My current wife wants to adopt my 3 kids that i have custody of. My custody is in ca but I have lived in Utah for the last 3 yrs. I have not heard anything from my ex for 6 yrs. I wanted to know if I can file in Utah or do I have to go to Ca?

Under the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Act of which both Utah and California have adopted you can apply in Utah for the step parent adoption. You may call for a free consultation.
